Slaves’, well where do we start, they are slowly building a reputation and rapidly maturing into a national treasure. We have monitored them extensively over the past few months and even had the opportunity to see them twice, at Scala in London this May and at Truck Festival last weekend. Their Debut album with Virgin EMI was released well over a month ago on 1st June, and has gone down a real treat with the British public, catapulting them into the limelight. Well-deserved if you ask us, the Kent lads are exactly what music needed; a good old fashioned kick up the arse.
The album ‘Are you Satisfied’ although dubbed their ‘debut’ album is in fact their second full LP having released ‘Sugar Coated Bitter Truth’ in 2012 which is an absolutely fantastic album and also the name for the conclusive song on their latest album. They are angry, messy, energetic, in your face but also very lyrically sharp with songs portraying a lot of political intent often seen in Punk Rock. As for their live performance, well you’re not going to find many bands out there at the moment that can rival with them. It’s something that quite simply can’t be missed so if you haven’t yet get your act together and grab yourself a ticket to their UK Tour this Autumn you get more information on dates, locations and times on their site: http://youareallslaves.com/. You can also grab yourself a copy of their albums; we have both on Vinyl and can’t stop playing them.

Not only is their music an absolute honour to listen too, after watching interviews and seeing them more in the public eye we can also see that both of them are extremely down to earth and humble lads. Which is great to see there’s nothing worse than an arrogant image driven prick behind the music, it almost ruins it. So basically what we’re trying to say is top work guys keep it up and we will see you at The Forum in London on 27th November. Catch our post from May where we reviewed their LIVE show at Scala, London. You can grab a copy of this album on Vinyl LP from our STORE for £19.99 have a browse!
