QUEENS OF THE STONEAGE DIVULGE JUICY NEW ALBUM SECRETS DURING FAILED LIE DETECTOR TEST

QOTSA have just unveiled details of their upcoming album “Villains” in polygraph test teaser video. Having taken a momentary sabbatical from being the Kings (or Queens would be more suitably apt) of desert rock undertaking a side project with Iggy Pop and Matt Helders, our favourite ginger rockstar Josh Homme is back and with more swagger and attitude than ever before!
We still have little to no details as the elusive rockers delve into mysterious forms of visual trickery to drip feed us with vital album information like a pack of blood thirsty vultures. What we do know however is that the album title is called Villains, It was produced by none other than all round music guru and DJ extraordinaire himself Mark Ronson and the first track to be released, we believe, will be called “Feet Don’t Fail Me”. Now, there are no details on when this track will be unleashed on the world, however weeks ago QOTSA released a vaguely informative image with the number 25 so we are going to assume that this first single will be released on 25th June! Don’t take our word for it though.
Throughout the polygraph test Homme lies through his teeth, denying knowing who Mark Ronson is despite him being stood in the corner of the room DJ’ing. The only truth he does unfold is that the album is “honestly, the best album ever”. During the video the tester plays the band a clip of their track “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now” which instantaneously threw us into a state of hyperventilation! It has a thick, sludgy, dancey aura to it much like that 2009 Them Crooked Vulture Album with tracks like Gunman. It’s EXACTLY the direction we want for a new Queens album.
The last question is probably the most revealing of all, divulging precious information on what we can expect the album to sound like throughout. “Do you like to dance?” to which Homme replies “Why yes, yes I do” as he turns to face the camera giving us an ice cold wink to seal the deal. This, in addition to Mark Ronson producing the album AND the clip of their first single makes it easy for us to throw all our eggs into one basket with an assumption. This NEW Queens album is destined to make your hips shake like snake in rush hour! Prepare for some cool, sexy desert dance rock on “Villains” and lock your girlfriends away cos’ it’s bound to steal their hearts.
