NEW TRACK: AFTER LONDON - "ALL THE SAME NOW"

Well here it is, the wait is finally over. We’ve been gifted a second taste of After London’s mesmeric aura through NEW track ‘All The Same Now’. Their debut single ‘Hesitate’ took us on a contrasting journey of serenity and fierce passion nestled in a cauldron of mellow grunge rock. This track launched their ascension into the unknown world of, what is, a gruelling music industry but fear not, these guys are buckled up, braced and more than equipped for the tough ride ahead. ‘All The Same Now’ is a track that calls out the repetitive/declining nature of London’s music scene. Shedding light on the state of our capital’s diversity and general ability to provide a decent night of music which, let’s face it, is an essential ingredient in protecting everyone’s weekly sanity. The song follows on perfectly from its formidable predecessor, maintaining a degree of musical aesthetic that really drives their ‘easy listening’ presence. This time round you can feel The Last Shadow Puppets influence beginning to surface; we have some icy echoed riffs on a bed of emotive strings and grounding percussion that is sure to give you vivid flashbacks to 2008’s ‘Age Of The Understatement’. These addictive characteristics are only further heightened through lead singer Francesca’s blistering vocals. The sentiment in her voice sets the tone of the story, giving the song a really gripping feel to it. Again, the likeness to Florence Welch is uncanny. It’s romantic, sophisticated, sharp, poetic and sure to convince you to see them live. We have a real talent on our hands here; it will be interesting to see how their debut self-titled EP is welcomed by the public. We can only see it going one way!
